The Blessed Lord said, ‘I taught this immortal Yoga to the Sun-God, Vivasvan; Vivasvan communicated it to Manu, the father of mankind and Manu made it known to Ikshvaku.

Although I am unborn, my transcendental body never deteriorates, and although I am the Lord of all living entities, I still appear in every millennium in my original transcendental form first.

One who knows in truth is in full consciousness of his activities and is devoid of sense gratification.

He who having relinquished attachment for fruits, is content with what comes to him without (his effort), and is free (from the pairs of opposites), and does not envy, he is never bound, even though he (maybe) engaged in (actions).

Some of them sacrifice hearing in the fire of the senses, and the senses in the fire of the mind and the fire in the fire of sacrifice and vice versa.

O best of the Kuru dynasty. No one can be happy on this earth or in this life without giving up. What then of the next life?

And although of the most sinful of all sinners, you will also be able to cross over the ocean of miseries seated in the boat of transcendental knowledge.

But those who are ignorant and faithless doubt the reveal scriptures and are not God-conscious. Here is happiness for the doubting soul. Not in this world, or in the next.
